Taylor-Swift
Taylor Swift, full Taylor Alison Swift. American singer/songwriter who's achieved huge success with the tales she recounts about her early heartbreak. Swift discovered a love for musical instruments as a young person and swiftly progressed from participating in kids' shows, before making her first appearance front of an audience. The moment Swift performed The Star-Spangled Banner in front of a Philadelphia 76ers game at age 11 she had already begun composing songs. After that, she began playing guitar. Swift was inspired by artists from the country genre, such as Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks and now the Chicks in order to write original music which reflected the alienation she experienced at 13. Swift's family moved into Tennessee from Pennsylvania when she was 13so she could spend more time exploring country music labels in Nashville.
